0 is an integer - it is not positive or negative.

Sorry to bring in a DS question here,

If i and j are integers, is i + j an even integer?
(1) i < 10
(2) i = j

Answer is B for this one! But what if I and J are 0????

Note: This is a OG problem!
Am i missing something very basic???

TIA

zero is even number because when it is divided by 2, it leaves a remainder zero.
zero is neither +ve not -ve.

there is a huge difference in being +ve and being even number.

any number added twice will be even. (just keep that in mind) :)
If OA is A, IMO B
If OA is B, IMO C
If OA is C, IMO D
If OA is D, IMO E
If OA is E, IMO A

FML!! :/

Yep - it can definitely be confusing. 0 is an even number but it is not positive or negative. Just remember that a positive number is any number greater than zero and a negative number is anything less than 0.

Perfectos !

By definition :

Positive numbers are written to the right of zero on a number line.
Negative numbers are written to the left of zero on a number line.

So, 0 is neither Positive nor Negative.

Any number which can be written of the form 2N where N is an Integer is an Even number. 2N = 0 when N =0 , hence even !

Even,Odd,Positive,Negative,Rational,Irrational,Square,Cubes,...Mathematics is so much fun !

Edited !
