Manhattan CAT's Updated

by EMAN » Sat Dec 26, 2009 1:28 pm
Okay, so I've been taking a number of CAT's the past few months and have been consistent around the 630 range with quant being higher lately. At first, I was so incredibly weak in the math section (very pleased at a Q45 in the quant section for someone like me though) although I did extremely well in the OG 12 diagnostic verbal section besides SC. Okay, so now I keep getting around 70% in the verbal on the MGMAT CAT's which is keeping me from a 700+ score. I usually get the majority of RC and CR if not close to all of them right in the OG. SC has been improving as well. Anyone else have this experience? I guess I'll find out when I take a GMATPrep test here in the next week or so.

Hi Eman, I hv taken 2 MGMAT CAT. I am weak in maths so i always get the boost from my verbal. do you know whether the CAT is rated in terms of difficulty .. if CAT2 is more difficult than CAT1? my verbal improved in CAT2, and i've focused on my verbal since CAT1 .. so am trying to see if it is case of actual improvement or is it just that i got luckier this time round
of course, taking 2 tests is hardly sufficient for trending purpose .. but it's good to have a "rough feel"

SC is my strongest area in verbal - i find this area is really a time saver compared to CR,RC. Will continue working on this - need more time and analysis prowess for CR !

Hope you do well for ur gmatprep test!
