Reporting that one of their more crippling malfunctions has been the sudden and unexpected failure of the liquid helium cooling system, the engineering squad supervising the Large Hadron Collider requested additional funding to develop better maintenance systems.

We need an ADJECTIVE to modify FAILURE = SUDDEN ; drop E

sudden needs to be parallel to unexpected. Can't use suddenly.

The engineering squad is singular. Have to use its (not their)

A question for experts.What changes in the non underlined portion would be required to make option C correct?
