Given that Machine B produces 100 parts in 40 minutes, we have Machine A produces 100 parts in 40/2 = 20 minutes.

Thus, Machine A produces in 6 minutes = (100/20)*6 = 30 parts

The correct answer: A

Hope this helps!

We can see that the rate of Machine B = 100/40 = 5/2 parts per minute. Since Machine A is twice as fast as Machine B, the rate of Machine A = 5/2 x 2 = 5 parts per minute.

Thus, in 6 minutes, Machine A can produce 5 x 6 = 30 parts.
