Hi Stacy,

I am planning to give gmat and hoping to get above 700 score. I have a Master Degree in Computer Science for a California State University. I have strong work experience with companies like Oracle and Yahoo.

Please advice. Thanks

Dear Aiming_Haas,

You gave little information on your profile and did not really specify what feedback you are looking for from me. Thus I am not sure what exactly you are asking in your post. Perhaps give a little more detail around your profile and your question?

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for our feedback. So here are the details. I hope this helps.

Bachelors in Engineering in India.
Masters Degree at a California State University with gpa 3.1
6 years of Software experience with companies like Oracle 1.5 years, Yahoo: 1 year and ongoing.

I have given couple of GMAT tests and my score is around 700-720. So with all this background do u think I will be able to apply to a top notch part time MBA program like HAAS Berkeley?

Thank you for answering my question again. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Aiming_Haas,

It would seem based on the little detail provided that you have a competitive foundation for an application to any part-time program. However, decisions are made on more than numbers (i.e., GMAT score, GPA, years of experience). In order to gain admission, you must present your background in the best way possible. Why you want to go to business school and your career goals are important components in your evaluation, so make sure you convey your rationale effectively. Likewise, you need to have some concrete leadership examples from your professional experience.

Good luck,
Lisa
