2nd attempt at the GMAT today. Scored a 710(49Q, 38V) but the IR was low (only 5). Trying to decide if I need to retake based on low IR. Thoughts? Planning on applying to Duke, UNC, and UVA if that matters.

Hi army to civilian,

First off, a 710/Q49 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interest you. Many Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT actually use an applicant's IR score when evaluating individual applications, so you likely have nothing to worry about there (and as an aside, a 5 is slightly above-average IR score, so it wouldn't hurt you either way).

Are you planning to apply in one of the upcoming Rounds?
