Hello

On your optional essay where you have teh chance to explain your low GPA, is it acceptable to say that you got low gpa because your courses were insanely difficult? Or do they only accept personal reasons as an excuse?

Hi gmatking,

Well, I would not say that your courses were extremely difficult, but you could prove it by providing your class rank, average grades in major, etc. You never want to think about "excuses" in the optional essay, but explanations and reasons that you have changed your ways can be helpful.

Good luck!
