LOW GMAT SCORE 490 in second attempt - Please Help !!

Hi,

I appeared for GMAT second time and even after trying my best, scored 490 only. I got 45-Q and 18-Verbal. In my first attempt last year, I got 540.

Can I go now GRE now as I find GRE much easier for me than GMAT?
Sending GRE scores again when GMAT Scores(both attempts -- by default : GMAC) already submitted to same BSCHOOLS, how Adcom is going to react??

I am having 6.5 years of Telecom and targeting schools like SMEAL, Texas A&M, Wisconsin Madison, NUS, BYU.

Please suggest !!

Hi,

You can take mock GRE test and analyse your score and then go for main GRE test. Most of the B-Schools accept GRE score. Also evaluate your weaker areas in GMAT and try to focus on those areas and there is no harm in taking one more GMAT attempt with solid practice.

I agree with Manish. You can either retake the GMAT or take the GRE, which is growing in acceptance by MBA admissions committees. Here are two articles that might help you:
