I chose E and it was wrong...Can you suggest similar DS questions/tutorials/note for practice ?

Q) Is x>1?

a) (x+1)(|x|-1)>0
b) |x| <5

Absolute values are tricky. Purple Math is a nice place to start: here's an intro, here's how to work with absolute equations, and here's how to work with absolute inequalities.
