If the Longfellow Playground is rectangular, what is its width?
(1) The ratio of its length to its width is 7 to 2.
(2) The perimeter of the playground is 396 meters.

1) is not sufficient
2) alone is not sufficient

Combining (7x+2x)*2 = 396
x = 11

length = 7x and breadth is 2x

St.1) Ratio is known but not thwe actual length ... so insuff..
St.2) The perimeter of the playground is 396 meters. btu we don't now relation between length and breadth

combined) (7y+2y)x2 = 396--> y=11 length =77 and breadth = 22 suff ans c
