A phone company charges 3/4 of its regular per-minute rate for
long-distance calls for each minute in excess of 1000 per
month, excluding calls made on Sundays, and 1/2 of its
regular per-minute rate for all long-distance calls made on
Sundays. How much did the phone company charge
Victoria last month?
(A) Last month, Victoria made a total of 1500 minutes
worth of long-distance calls, including 200 minutes
worth on Sundays.
(B) The regular rate for long-distance calls is $0.10 per
minute.

Normal rate is r
After 1000r, it charges 0.75r on other days and 0.5r on sundays.

total of 1500 minutes including 200 on sundays.
Cost is not specified. hence INSUFF

Cost is mentioned in stmt2. But duration not mentioned.
Hence INSUFF

Combining:
Using both stements, we know the duration and also r value.
Hence we can find the rate.

looking to avoid a potential trap... I chose E,
200 minutes on sundays , whether its on a sunday or not on a sunday will give us half the rate....

but if 200 minutes on the first sunday i consumed, I need to pay full rate for only 800 minutes and then 3/4 rate on the next 500

where as if 200 minutes were on the last day, a sunday, then I need to pay.. a full rate of 1000 minutes, 3/4 rate on 300 minutes and 200 mins 1/2 cost of sunday....

But I guess I do not read the words properly or its a poorly constructed question.
