Possibel combinatiosn are

All conditions are satisfied :

Each family in a locality has at most two adults --- YES

and no family has fewer than 3 children.--YES

Considering all the families together, there are more adults than boys, ----YES

more boys than girls, ---YES


and more girls than families.---YES

Then the minimum possible number of families in the locality is 3

6 5 4 3 - possible condition
Hence answer is option 4.The minimum possible no of families are 3.
