To find: Expenditure on books

Statement 1:
N = 1.4 P
B + N + P = 35000
B + 2.4P = 35000
INSUFFICIENT


Statement 2:
P + N = .75 (B)
B + N + P = 35000
B + .75B = 35000
SUFFICIENT
