I get that like is used for comparison between nouns and pronouns, but what about UNLIKE- unlike the computer industry the internet industry.........what rules do you apply when using unlike - does it follow the same rules as Like(comparing 2 nouns/pronouns) or does it have diff rules?

also the comparison of unlike vs whereas?which one is used when?Can they be used interchangeably?
