My tentative study plan is somewhat like this (Somewhat like johny's thread  )

1- As i am thinking of taking this test on April 11, so it makes aroung 56 days.

2- Total time :- 6-7 hrs/day

3- CAT Tests:-
- Powerprep.
- GMATPrep.
- Princeton.
- 800 score.

4- Books & Material :-

- PR. (i have only this book others are in soft copy form)
- OG10.
- OG11.
- 1000SC.
- 1000CR.
- Manhattan SC.
- 1000RC???
- some more material suggestd by ppl on forums.

5- Study Plan:-

- Study PR for 7 days and then take PP 1 Test and will keep log of this test for future.

What should i do next ? :?:

i read in some forum that one should give PP & GP test before studying OG series as they have Q's from OG and so there is no point in doing these tests after studying OG as Q's will be repeated in these test. and one more thing is reinstalling GP of any use? I also read some where that one can get new set of questions after reinstalling these tests and so can get 5-6 tests as contrary to 2 tests.

any suggestion/ advices are welcome. :D

It is only PowerPrep not GMATPrep.
You should take PP before OG11.
and you can practice GMAT prep anytime during your preparation.
ideally people take one test at the begining and the second at the last.

Re-installing wont make any difference. You can take it 5-6 times thought no harm in practicing but then dont count these tests...

in all Nice plan Zaffar.
i would recommend you to check this article too

All right!
I am just back from my home town from my native, parents place...
we had lit'l family get-together. My both elder sisters also came.

And I was a reliever for my eldest sister since she has 18-19 months son. 8)
Well I had brought OG11 there for my GMAT studies but i ended up babysitting

Believe me these kids are like havoc. but are nice and cute. I just love my nephew 8) That costed me eight days w/t GMAT but it doesnt matter...

I am back to studies.
Oh bytheway i have changed my signature too :)

Hi Johny:

Glad to hear your priorities are right--family should always come before GMAT.

Given your practice scores, I think you are certainly within range.

some update

by aim-wsc » Fri Mar 09, 2007 6:22 am
All right 8)

some more updates from my side.
I have been dormant lately.

Actually I have been waiting for the personal mail and for that, been postponing my GMAT plan... and after waiting for more than three months I realised that I got that mail in January 2007.
So I felt stupid waiting for nothing

During this period I did lots of brain-stroming and introspection about whether I really want to do MBA.

hmm to b' or not to b that is the question... 8)
I might start a thread on it later.

( Now before Eric gets an heart-attack  )let me tell you I am NOT cancelling my GMAT plan. And one more thing I wont leave the forum.
I said it before " it's my baby too :) "

Dont worry not sure about aim-wsc but I d definitely take the test... oops I mean beat the GMAT 8)

It's just that I had to take a break from this GMATing for a while... I will be back by 20th March.

Thank you all.

Haha, Johny you almost did give me a heart attack there. I don't know what this project would do without you!

Study plan and practice tests

by GCHall840 » Fri Mar 09, 2007 6:49 pm
I am a new person to this board. I like what I see, a lot.
First, I am enrolled in the Manhattan GMAT virtual online course that starts on March 11. I am going to take the GMAT on May 19.

I took the GMAT a long time ago. I didn't do very well.
However, I didn't give up even though I know that I am not the best test taker.

I signed up for what I think looks like the best GMAT prep course out there. I believe that the Manhattan GMAT course is going to help me a lot. I don't want to start taking tests just yet until I feel comfortable with some of the content material, first.

Does anybody have any ideas about how many tests I should take?
Thanks,
Greg

I would recommend taking a practice test at least once per week, after you've gotten familiar with the GMAT topics tested. I took 14 practice tests during my prep, but that may have been overkill.
