So I have been putting off the GMAT because I decided not to go to grad school and then I decided to go. And since I already applied, I figured it would give me an incentive to study. Unfortunately, I had two midterms and ended up waiting until the last minute.

DO NOT TRY TO PREP IN 2 WEEKS OR LESS

Route that I took:
1. GMAT Prep 1 - 520 (bad, and bad)
2. Kaplan Premier 2009 - Worked all of quant. Very discouraging as the problems are ultra difficult. All CR and some SC.
3. Free Manhattan GMAT Flash cards - All Quant/Verbal
4. Free Manhattan CAT - Worked, reviewed, and redid to get as many of the toughest questions that I could.
5. GrockIT - All the hard verbal/quant questions
6. ReadyForGMAT.com advanced questions - Almost done
7. 1000SC blog - about 20Qs
8. Special Triangle series - Beatthegmat.com
9. GMAT Prep 2 - 650 (Q46, V35)


Since I'm on a serious budget, I tried to utilize as many free resources as I could possibly. Total cost was about $23 for the kaplan book and that's it.

Let's see how the test goes. I originally was aiming for 700+ but 1.5 weeks is definitely not enough prep time. Less than 24 hours till D-Day......

Beat by the GMAT:
Real GMAT - 590 (Q42,V30) - was discouraged after I didn't hit the submit button on the last quant question. I think that's what caused my quant score to drop. I didn't even make a full attempt on the verbal section because I was sooo bummed.

The Plan:
1. OG12, OG Quant/Verbal
2. MGMAT - Sentence correction
3. MGMAT - 6 CAT exams
4. Solid 2-3 months
5. ReadyforGMAT.com Advanced questions
6. Kaplan Premier 2009
