Lefties using the wet-erase laminated paper in exam

So I am taking the manhattan gmat prep course and they give you a scratch pad and pen similar to those which you get for the actual exam. I tried doing some practice questions with it the other day when I realized-
Because I am a lefty, if I write normally (with my writing hand on the paper as I write), ALL of what I wrote besides what I am writing right now, ends up on my hand!!

So to combat that I have to write super awkwardly, with my hand slightly raised while I write...

Does the GMAC provide lefty-friendly scratch pads by any chance??

I have had lefty students with the same complaint! The markers are wet erase, not dry erase so they do become somewhat permanent so that you cannot erase them intentionally but your lefty writing drags your hand across before it is set.

The materials you received should be the same that you have on test day. At Veritas we also supply the dry erase pad and marker and it is nearly identical (marker is identical) to what is there on test day.

I am not sure what a lefty-friendly pad would be but I have not heard of it.

Too late to learn to use your right hand? (joking)

Haha thanks for the insight, David! Given this though, all other things being equal, wouldn't righties therefore have an advantage on the exam over lefties? (I'd be interested to see a study comparing lefties scores vs righties!)

Righties can right away (pun intended

in whatever way they are used to while we have to make adjustments during the exam leading to awkwardness, and potentially taking us off our game....

That was a good question ( I am a lefty, too ).
I didn`t expect that GMAC provides special material for people like us but we should be fine.

Somehow we made it through school ( primary school was tough, since they grade calligraphy - nearly missed admission to highschool because of this ) so we are able to handle the GMAT as well!

And even when righties have an advantage, we still are the better tennis players.
