If y is an integer, then the least possible value of |23-5y| is

a. 1
b. 2
c. 3
d. 4
e. 5

had no idea where to start

absolute value will give you +ve value no matter what. the minimum value of an absolute function is 0

in this case 23-5y should be 0

which gives y=4.6 since y is an integer round it off to an integer so y =5 gives the minimum

the least possible value is |23-25| = 2
