What is the smallest possible common multiple of 2 numbers greater than 250?

OA is 251

How is this possible? wouldn't that be the lowest common FACTOR not multiple?

Someone please explain the logic. Thanks.

I came across this question in Kaplan.

The two numbers greater than 250 need not be different. They can be same. That is the key here.

To find the smallest possible LCM of two nos that are greater than 250, you should choose 251 which is the smallest in the set. The LCM of 251 and 251 is 251.

But we need smallest possible common multiple and not largest.
