LCM

Hi,

I'm having the hardest time understanding the LCM (lowest Common Multiple) concept. Can anyone put it in laymen's terms and help me learn it?

Thanks!!

i'm glad my telepathic skills worked this time; i've been working on them for a long time now.

while you're at it, here's an obscure but cool fact about lcm's and gcf's:
(lcm of x and y)(gcf of x and y) = (x)(y)
the probability that you'll actually get to use this fact on the exam is rather low, but, if you do get the chance to use it, you'll probably NAIL whatever problem you get to use it on.

do you know about gcf's? if not, you may as well learn about them as long as you're hitting lcm's.
