LBS vs IESE For Consulting Switch

by kohsamed » Thu Feb 14, 2013 1:15 am
Hi all - I have offers from both of these schools. I am a banker potentially interest in a switch to management consulting in SE Asia

I am struggling to decide between the schools. IESE seems more consulting focussed, however I am a bit concerned about the lack of brand and the ability to stay atop the rankings. LBS actually seems far less rigorous, but at the same time more prestigious

Can anyone help?!

My take - LBS.

Far beyond the MBA rankings, LBS has a much better & stronger reputation in Asia than IESE. Secondly LBS has major tie-ups in Asia like the one with the MBA program at HKU, which in turn is helpful for LBS graduates looking for a job in Asia.

Thanks guys, seems like an easy choice. LBS it is

I am a bit perplexed however as to why IESE always seems so discouraged in the internet community/forums. Seems like a great school, the only reasons i can come up with are lack of Alumni and the fact that its in Spain
