Last few days before GMAT, losing my mind !

I have been preparing for my GMAT for the last 2 months, I joined a classroom course at princeton review. My mock gmat scores at Princeton were

Test 1 610 (Q-39, V-36)
Test 2 600 (Q-43, V-30)
Test 3 610 (Q-39, V-35)
Test 4 620 (Q-45, V-31)
Test 5 560 (Bigtime screwup)
Test 6 610 (Q-40,V-34)
Test 7 690 (Q-45, V-40)

After these, I took Manhattan GMAT, my scores have hovered at
CAT 4 - 640
CAT 5 - 640

And finally, i took tests on GMATPrep
Test 1 680 (Q-48,V-35)
Test 2 720 (q-50,V-38)

I have been studying for 5-6 hours continually for the last 20 days. I know no mock test can give me the exact idea of how well the real test scores will be but Im freaking out now with the test date coming on 5th February.

Any advice will be appreciated, thanks !

Hi suryanshuhooda,

Assuming that you're taking these CATs in a test-like fashion and you're not doing anything unrealistic (skipping sections, pausing the test, etc.), then you're showing improvement. So, what exactly is the problem? You say that you're "losing your mind" but to what extent? What's bothering you? What do you need advice about? Since your GMAT is in 3 days, you can ease back a bit with your studies. Don't take any more CATs; just do some light review. Make sure to be properly rested for Test Day.

Yes, I have taken every test in complete test conditions, with actual allotted time, 8 minute breaks and everything. Im just worried about my verbal scores as they seem to be inconsistent. I have reviewed sentence correction upto certain extent.However, Im unable to formulate any specific strategy for tackling CR where I just use my head to solve the question which usually leaves me with 2 answers that seem equally correct. :|

Hi suryanshuhooda,

Now that you've defined what's troubling you, we can work on solving the problem. With 3 days to go, you can't expect to radically change your approach to anything. When you're down to 2 answers, ask yourself which one is relevant to the prompt. Remember that the prompt is fairly short (just a few sentences), so there's not a lot of information to work with - one answer should be relevant, the other shouldn't.

What you are feeling is a tipical sensation the days before taking the test. Our students also say days before "i forgot everything". But just breathe and think that you were all the last month preparing this, so there is no reason to go bad.
