someone posted this before! but i want to ask how to eliminate the choices and what's wrong with them!

"Plants" is the plural subject and should go with plural verb "have" rather than a "has" seen in "A","B" and "C".
Though the experts will be able to guide you better here

Also notice that "A" , "B" and "C" are in Passive Voice.

Now there are two options "D" and "E".

Notice the "remained" in option "E" which conveys the meaning that it was something relevant to the past.

"D" is correct and there is no subject verb agreement problem and is clear and precise.

Resilience is a trait that manifests in an individual when he/she faces consistent failures motivating them to succeed in the end.
