A IMO doesn't sound perfect but it sure is better than the other options

the meaning of the sentence is "du bios was invited by kwame NKrumah to settle in Gharla where he later became the editor.
B- when is wrong, coz it means at the time when he was invited
C- makes the sentence awkward
D-same as above
E- "having an invitation" sounds not as good as A. If it were "after getting an invitation", i would have considered this option
