The test is as reliable as any other test with the exception of the gmat prep. The GMAT prep is a more better indicator of your level on the GMAT.

I am wondering the same thing, I just took the Knewton practice exam now,
I got 6 questions wrong in Quant and 6 wrong in verbal but received a 45 quant and 37 verb giving me a 660 score. Normally, I get between 9-10 wrong on the GMAT practice exams and still score around 700.

So my questions are,

1. is the score itself representative? If not, I am ok with that (more for knowing what level i am at)
2. Are the questions in the practice exam relativly similar to the real exam, easier/harder?? I found them easy but i may also have improved since my last test.

Any comments would be great as I am considering subscribing to their service if thats what its going to take.

I too scored 680 Q 46 V 37 in the knewton test. It is pathetic in my humble opinion. I got two RC passages back to back which is very unusual. I got 8 questions in quant and 8 questions in verbal wrong. The scoring algorithm is obviously weird. However, the questions are good in verbal. For quant the questions are fairly simple.

I have practiced manhattan gmat and scored 640 - 710. In gmatprep, i have scored in the range of 710-760.

i cant comment on their prep course.

K, so I wrote the gmat back in Febuary, and during febuary I was scoring 710 on the knewton exams anad 730 on the Gmatprep exams, and 720 MGMAT. I found the knewton to be closest in scoring.

I wrote my exam and rushed through it scoring 680, but I know if i did not rush I would have landed ont he kenwton score, knewton is by far the closest thing.

but the mgmat study guides are by far the best.
