Hi,

I have a score of 690 in GMAT and confused about whether to take it again or to concentrate on the application process.

I have no idea how to start the process and need some tips regarding that...
Also, in case i plan to give another shot at the exam..should I just concentrate on the exam or do the application process along with it

Need financial assistance and from what i have heard ..chances are high in R1 as compared to R2.

Kindly suggest the path forward.

Dear TIA,

Whether or not you need to retake the GMAT depends on where you are applying and what the rest of your application looks like. You do need to spend considerable time on the application, so don't sacrifice the quality of your essays for GMAT preparation. You definitely want to apply in round 1 if possible, but if it means your application will suffer, then it would be better to wait and apply near the beginning of round 2. If you want to maximize your chances of receiving scholarship money, then you will want to look at schools outside the top 25 where your GMAT is above the average GMAT. These schools generally give larger scholarships, but you cannot count on receiving an award from any school.

Thanks a lot Lisa...

I intend to give another shot at the GMAT. Just one more query..
In the top 20-30 universities.. can you give me a rough idea...which ones do NOT take the highest GMAT score.
This is another point of concern for me..

All schools use the GMAT test with the highest total score.
