Kim purchases n items at $8 each, postage and handling = $3first item, and $1 for each additional item.
Total dollar amount for Kim's purchase = total price total postage and handling.
Total price = $8n
For postage and handling = 3 + (n-1)
= 3 + n - 1
= $ (n+2)
Total dollar amount = $8n + $(n+2)
= 8n + n + 2
= $(9n+2)

Answer = C
