Keyboarding ability is an important skill now of even senior-level managers.

A is an important skill now of even senior-level managers
B is an important skill even for senior-level managers now
C is a skill of even important senior-level managers now
D is now important even for senior-level managers
E is important even now for senior-level managers

OA: D

While the OA is D, any opinion on E ?

Surprisingly, the Kaplan CAT Test review section has not provided any answer to this

Please underline the sentence. Please represent the question in proper syntax. This is really helpful.

Option E: Keyboarding ability is important even now for senior-level managers.
Option D: Keyboarding ability is now important even for senior-level managers.

Pay attention to 2 words NOW & EVEN.
Even Should be used ONLY with senior managers.
NOW should emphasize like current period.
In option E, The phrase "is imp even now" makes the meaning like - it was important earlier and is important EVEN NOW.
However the actual sentence means: KA i NOW IMPORTANT EVEN for senior manager.
NOW shows: it is important now, we are not sure about past.
EVEN shows: this skill is needed EVEN at senior manager level, which perhaps could do away with this in earlier times.

Ensure the limiting words such as ONLY, EVEN, NOW, MAY, etc come immediately before the thing they wish to limit.

sameerballani has a pretty good explanation. Modifiers and limiters in sentences must be placed in positions close to and unambiguously modifying the thing that they are meant to modify or limit.

When are keyboarding skills important? They are now important. To whom are they important? They are important even for managers. An answer that doesn't pair these limiting phrases correctly doesn't convey the correct meaning, so (D) must be right!
