A vessel contains 180 liters of petrol. 60 liters are taken out of the vessel every day and an equal quantity of kerosene oil is put in. What quantity of petrol remains in the vessel at the end of three days?
(A) 0 liters
(B) 53&1/3 liters
(C) 66&1/3 liters
(D) 120 liters
(E) 126&1/3 liters

The question states that "60 litres of it are taken out of the vessel every day". "It" refers to the petrol. Hence, 60 litres of petrol are taken out of the vessel every day. Are we supposed to realize that kerosene oil cannot be separated from petrol when it is in a vessel?

It refers to "vessel" and not to 180lts of petrol...mixture question... both are extracts from one crude component at various temperatures. it is a possible mixture. Some poor people mix kerosene in petorl to run their vehicles as kerosene in some countries wont go under road tax and is cheap... ;)
