Hi..

I am looking closely at this program.
My Profile: B.Tech(1997) ,MBA (1999)--8 years work exp --Curently in Oil -Retail sales,India Fortune 500--No Int'l Exp..
GMAT 710..

The curriculum of the program appears good for me.But the worrying factor is the absence of internship.So I wud know if u can throw light on career prospects for me post MBA.

Hi Sunil,

Programs without an internship are great for applicants who plan to return to the firm they currently work for, or for family business applicants.

For a career switcher especially, it will be a bit tougher to find a full time job without the internship program. However, there may be options such as doing a part time internship while attending school or simply networking effectively.

Hi,

I have a related Q..As u pointed out lack of internship is an issue...
1)Will that can really affect chances of getting a job in Sales/BD in US ...in Oil/Retail?CPG post Kellogg/Emory 1 year MBA.
(All my exp has been in India.)
2)Also I wud look for position in Srategy dev/MC which cud be realted to my exp..But I am not sure if adcom will accept this option of mine .
Will this be seen as a career change.

Appreciate ur thoughts

Hi suithink,

I think it will be more difficult to switch careers without an internship. It is certainly not impossible, but won't be easy.

I think it is best to be honest about your goals and aspirations in your MBA essays.
