This ones from Kaplan online test...
Good problem..so thought of posting...

The equation of line n is y = - 100. What is the smallest possible distance in the xy-plane from the point with coordinates (0, 0) to any point on line n ?
A. 48
B. 50
C. 60
D. 75
E. 100

Do you mind explaining it. shouldn't it be 100

Good question, I would love to know how the OA is 60


Shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line, and the shortest distance between (0,0) to a point on this line should be between (0,0) and (0,-100), distance thus being 100.

There must be something missing from the question - (E) is definitely the correct answer to the question as written.
