Kaplan test difficulty

Hi everyone. I just gave a try on the Kap Test last week and got 640 overall.

I wanna ask about the difficulty of these tests now (in 2013). Haven't they get any improvements in the scoring algorithm ? Cuz somebody said the kap test score I got is 50pts below the actual test score.

Thanks!

Hi Mate,

They have improved their algorithm from last time. Last time when I gave Kaplan Mock test it was 80 points below the gmatprep score. But this time again its low but not 80 points. I gave one kaplan test couple of weeks back and found 40 points below the average score. I have scored 690 700 710 720 in my last 4 mock tests including gmat prep test where I scored 700 and 710 but when I gave kaplan it gave me 660. Their RC is just tough and something wrong with the algorithm. So if I were you I would worry too much about it. Just take a gmatprep test. If you have score 640 on kaplan then you are probably on 680-700 mark.

Thanks
Rakesh
