Hi there,

I'm a Kaplan GMAT student looking to take the test in 3 months (mid-September). I must admit, I am a little confused and was hoping someone could provide some insight from their experience.

I want to get a 720+ on the GMAT but am a little unsure, and somewhat discouraged, by my Kaplan CAT results so far. To date, I've taken 3 Kaplan CATs

May 15-- 660 (48Q, 3V) -- 84% Quant, 56% Verbal
May 25 -- 620 (40Q, 33V) --
June 5 - 620 (40Q, 36V)

During prep, I've been doing well at the Quant problems (DS and PS) and less well in the Verbal (haven't really devoted the time to Verbal until recently). That said, my scores are all over the place. For eg, quant is

May 15 -- DS (9/15 DS questions, 18/22 PS questions)
May 25 -- DS (8/15 dS questions, 12/22 PS questions)
June 5 -- DS (5/15 DS Questions, 16/22 PS Questions)

I;ve been doing well in prep on DS, I'm not sure why the Kaplan CATs show such poor results? I'm beginning to wonder if I should be taking Kaplan CATs at all -- I don't know how representative they are. If I don't, what other CATs can I take (I'd like to do 12-15) so that I can get a better sense of how I will actually do on the real GMAT over time?

I would appreciate your help. Thanks and best regards.

Kaplan practice tests tend to be lower than actual results.
