Words is plural. So, they are compared with corresponding words, not just word.

A & B can be eliminated due to use of the pronoun 'it' which signifies a singular subject. This is wrong since 'Lithuanian words' is a plural subject.
E can be eliminated on the basis of the the ambiguity of 'there is descent'.
Between C & D, we can eliminate D due to a contextual error, which implies that the words are compared to one word in another language, leaving us with C
