a wire is cut into three equal parts. the resulting segments are then cut into 4,6 and 8 equal parts respectively. if each of the resulting segment has an integer lenght.what is the minimum length of the wire?

2.36
3.48
4.54
5.72

Find the LCM of 4,6,8:---> 24.

Ans : 72

Basically, 4x = 6y = 8z (given 3 equal part of a fixed length)
4x + 6y + 8Z = L
for L should be minimum
x = 6, y = 4, Z = 3. ( LCM of 4, 6, and 8 = 24)

Hence minimum length is 24 * 3 = 72
