Kaplan Premier 2012

I'm following the 60 day study guide and just realized it calls for Kaplan 2011, and I have a newer version (2012). Are the specific pages generally the same? I'm noticing some of the pages in the study match up for the most part, but not all exactly.

Hi Mags112,

From what I understand, the 2012 version is quite similar to the 2011 version, so it should be fne to use.

Hi,
I wish to purchase the Kaplan GMAR Premier but confused about the version 2011 or 2012?

I am giving exam in 2012 Feb.

Kindly guide...

Hi Sachin,

Now that I've had a chance to review the 2012 version, I can tell you that they are almost identical. So, you can use either version with the 60-Day Study Guide.

Hello Brent,

I know you've said this twice before on the post that the 2012 edition is the same as 2011 edition. But, I still have a question. Some of the 60-day guide's emails suggest taking problems/practice tests from the 2011 edition while other suggest taking tests/problems from 2012. Now the Error guide must have been made for 2011. So, how do I really know whether my answer is correctly analyzed by the Error tracking tool ?

Hi Aditya,

All of the resources created for the Kaplan 2011 book also work with the Kaplan 2012.
- The page numbers in both books are nearly identical, so any pages referenced in the daily emails are closely aligned with each book.
- The OG12 Error log (excel file) is for the OG12. There's no reference to the Kaplan book here, so it doesn't matter which Kaplan book you have.
- The GMAT Progress Chart (excel file) is used to track your progress as you take practice tests in the CD-ROM that comes with the Kaplan 2011/2012 book. The CD-ROM questions for the Kaplan 2011 book are identical to the CD-ROM questions for the Kaplan 2012 book. So, you can use the Progress Chart for either book.

Thanks for such a quick reply. I really value the experience (consumer satisfaction so to speak) on this Forum. I got slightly confused by the anwer logs - I thought that it existed for the Kaplan book as well (which ofcourse is not needed).

No problem - when we first created the Study Guide, we often confused the two Excel spreadsheets ourselves
