Kaplan Portable GMAT for Kindle?

by ashleysflintoff » Fri Feb 12, 2010 11:39 am
Has anyone used this as a study guide successfully? I have the Official Guide which I plan on using as my main study guide along with the GMAT flash cards from this site and various practice tests. I thought it would be good to have another, more portable source for traveling (I travel for work) and this was the most downloaded on Amazon but had no reviews. Anyone have any thoughts?

Well, I like Kaplan materials, but I'm biased :-)

I will say this, however--I recommend against using the Official Guide as your primary source. It's the best source for practice questions out there, but its strategies are simply not the best. I'd pick up a Kaplan source, or failing that something from one of our competitors, to make sure you really understand the ins and outs of the question types and they're respective strategies. Then, and only then, would I move on to the OG as a question pool.

I'd recommend kaplan 800 math .
Its a really nice book! the only way they keep hinting through out the book is to plug in #s.And the questions are also quite different .

Lately ive heard their kaplan gmat verbal book is good too. Cant comment much though.

Try kaplan premier programming and u'l get a clue about whether to continue reading it.
