Hi vlazerava,

Kaplan!

But seriously, I'm a Kaplan rep--you might not believe me. If you want a response from the community at large, however, I will make this suggestion: give more info.

What's your current score? What score do you want? How much time do you have to study? Do you need math, verbal, or both?

With this info, you're much more likely to get a response--and, much more likely to get one that applies to your own situation.

Good luck!

P.S. choose Kaplan :-)

I had only 500 in Practice Test 1, which goes with Kaplan Live on Line. 31 in math and 28 in verbal. In math I have real problems with geometry and probability. Verbal part is really tough for me, as I'm not a native speaker. So I need to concentrate in SC and CR. I have about 1,5 months and I need score about 700.

I just completed the Manhattan live online course over the summer. Before the course I was scoring a 500 and after I was over 600. I was happy with that as the school I'm interested in requires a 500. However, I just took the test on Monday and only scored a 510. I attribute this mostly to my nerves on the quantitative section.

The Manhattan online live course exceeded my expectations. The instructors are very knowledgeable and explain the concepts well. The course spends about an equal amount of time on quant and verbal. I found their strategy guides and CAT exams extremely helpful.

Yesterday, I took 2 Practice Test, and my score improved to 530. My quizes results have also improved during this week. I also tried trial lessons MG and Kaplan but I still can't make a disision.

They both have excellent teachers but Manhattan has superior reading materials - Their 8 study guides are outstanding.

I believe that both companies offer free trial previews too. You may want to sit in on a class from each and make your final call. Please let us know what you select!

Thanks for all your opinions! Ill definetly take trial classes, just to be on a safe side. By the way, does anybody knows, can I use Kaplan discount coupon in UK, or its just for US courses?

Yes the Kaplan discount should apply internationally. By the way, there's a special Kaplan $200 off discount until 10/15 that's going on, which I believe is better than the usual BTG discount.

Check it out: Kaplan $200 discount

We do offer previews, though they don't usually involve just sitting in on a class. Rather, we have specific sample classes, both alone and with our practice tests, at regular intervals, so anyone who wants to try out our teachers and our methods can get a taste.

if the OP would like to PM me with his rough availability and geographical location, I'd be more than happy to find a sample class near him!

Congratulations on starting a Kaplan course! I'm sure we'll help you raise your score. Your Kaplan teacher should be able to take care of you from here on out, but let me know if there is anything I can do to help you beat the GMAT.
