Kaplan says the correct answer is that only statement 1 is sufficient but I think either statement is sufficient, can someone explain what the answer is

If A, B, and C are digits and AB not=0, what is the value of B?

(1) AB
+BA
-----------
AAC

(2) A=1

As you mentioned, option 1 is correct. But when you ignore data provided in option 1, how can you calculate B when all you know is A & B are not equal to 0 and A = 1?

I think A is the correct answer.
