what is the value of (a =2b)^2?

1. a+4b/2b+4=4-2b/a

2.a^4-b^4=15 and a^2=b^2=5

IM stumped!

hi -

try to re-post this problem (or edit your post) so that it makes more sense. right now, it has some serious issues:

1) the question prompt has an equals sign inside a pair of parentheses. is that supposed to be subtraction? also, same issue with the latter part of statement (2): you have two equals signs, of which, I suppose, one is supposed to be a minus sign.

2) in statement (1), which says 'a+4b/2b+4=4-2b/a', please insert parentheses and/or spaces so that we can tell what is being divided by what.

thanks!
