I think you are having a hard time with RC because you aren't taking notes and breaking down the passages as you read. Don't underestimate how much work you need to do with RC! To become good at them, you need to slow way down and really break down each passage and question. Worry about pacing later! Put in the work now, and you'll be better prepared for the longer and harder passages.
