After a few weeks of dabbling around and poking the surface, I decided that the best thing for me to do is to schedule a date for my GMAT...And I did it yesterday. My big day is in September. I know where exactly I want to get into. U of Michigan is my only goal. I have my reasons. The school is a hop, step and jump away. And it has a wonderful program in what I want to do.
Is that a good start and a decent strategy? Comments and suggestions please.
My brief profile - I have a Bachelors in electrical engineering (Top 5% of class), an M.S. in electrical engineering (GPA 4.0). I have a couple of publications in international conferences. I have had some very hands-on research experience during my M.S. I am presently working full-time and by the time I plan to begin my MBA, I will have about 2 years of cumulative, non-supervisory, full-time work-ex (excluding the 2 and 1/2 years I spent doing my M.S.). Does my profile seem to fit into the B-school applicant criterion? What are my chances? (I realize that I am requesting Stacy to shoot in the dark
Any suggestions/ideas about the U Michigan school? Any other specifics?
