V-38
Total 710 - 93rd Percentile
I started out the day by driving downtown to the testing center on snow covered roads. It took about 40 minues to get there and I at 8:40, my test was scheduled for 9:30. I parked the car and gathered my thinks when I realized I didn't have my wallet, which meant no picture ID. I drove home as fast as I could (against the traffice) and on the way back in the traffic was much lighter. I ended up getting back at 9:15. A great way to start.
Aside from reading this forum, I read "Cracking the GMAT" from The Princeton Review, release 11 of the Official Guide and a GMAT prep book from McGraw Hill. The McGraw Hill book I got from the library and it came with a CD with 6 practice tests. I also used the free test from Kaplan. I started studying sometime in November.
While the OG is great for all the practice questions, I found "Cracking the GMAT" a better book for actually preparing for the test.
I knew going in that my verbal would be weak, so all in all I'm pretty pleased with the score.
