Hi..
I am doing my best to score good in gmat but i am still at the same point from where i started .. Today i gave GmatPrep 1 and just got 570 real bad score Q(45) and V(24) .In detail it is something like this :

# Right # Wrong % Right
Problem Solving (PS) 16 3 84
Data Sufficiency (DS) 4 14 22
Sentence Corrections (SC) 11 5 68
Reading Comp (RC) 10 4 71
Critical Reading (CR) 6 5 54

I am very upset.. i completed kaplan, barrons and many other books , right now i m doing OG and kaplan maths workbook. Also, i kaap reading the stratgies used by others who already gave gmat.. l had made test analysis sheet for myself.. I dont know where i am lacking..
wat shud i do to improve my score.. i really want to score above 700.
Please give me some suggestion... also is PR CAT test is the same as the tests available on Princeton review CD. i gave that too few days back and again scored 570.. i am stuck there.. wat shud i do?? Please help me [:(]

Definitely focus on verbal, as that seems to be your weakness.

I honestly think part of the problem is the materials you've been using...I have never seen anyone recommend Barron's for GMAT (I remember it from my SAT days, though), so there's probably a reason for that. Kaplan seems to be off for verbal too. I have Princeton Review's verbal workbook and so far, it's been helpful.

Do you get questions right when you do them in the OG, but wrong on the timed tests? Or wrong in both areas? If both areas, then you need to work harder on understanding grammar rules, reading comprehension, etc.

On the PR CAT...do you mean is the one online different from the ones you can access from the DVD? I do think it's a different test, not with the same question bank.

your DS score seem to be very less..
try focusing on DS to improve your quant score..

also i suggest you to fix one or two books and try preparing from it.
too many books will just make it more confusing..

suggest you to follow PR and OG..till u touch a score of about 650..
then you can start other books..
