Jane started babysitting when she was 18 years old.
$$The\ child\ at\ that\ time\ was\ 18\cdot\frac{1}{2}=9\ years\ old$$
The difference in years between when James started and now = 32 - 18 = 14 years.
The child's current age = 9 + 14 = 23 years old
Answer = option C

Solution:

Since Jane stopped babysitting at age 22, the oldest child she babysat at the time could be 11 years old. Therefore, that child’s age would be 21 now.
