4)xxx-After having wintered in what is now known as James Bay, the southern pocket
of the huge bay that would be named for Henry Hudson, some of his crew mandated
for Hudson to leave the ship.
A. some of his crew mandated for Hudson to leave the ship.
B. some of his crew mandated that Hudson be forced to leave the ship.
C. some of his crew mandated for forcing Hudson to leave the ship.
D. some of his crew had a mandate that Hudson be forced to leave the ship.
E. some of his crew mandated to Hudson be forced to leave the ship.


Can i know the Idiom please ?

The market for recycled commodities like aluminum and other metals remain strong despite economic changes in the recycling industry.

mandated that Hudson be forced is correct.
Subjunctive verb form is required because of the word mandate.

This question has OA listed as E in its source but Manhattan staff has confirmed that C should be right.
