- Time taken by Amy to grill the steak = 6 - 7 months
- Amy can only grill one at a time and no break between the grilling
Target question: Can Amy finish grilling all the steaks needed for her party before her guests arrive?

Statement 1: Amy needs to grill four steaks for her party.
There, total steaks needed = 4
But the time available for Amy to grill all the 4 steaks is unknown because the information about the guest's time of arrival was not provided. Hence, statement 1 is NOT SUFFICIENT.

Statement 2: Amy's guests will arrive in half an hour.
So Amy has 30 minutes to finish preparing the steaks but the total number of steaks needed for the party is unknown. So, it is not possible to ascertain if Amy will finish grilling all the steaks needed.

Combining both statements
From statement 1: total steak needed = 4
From statement 2: total time available = 30 minutes
Considering the speed at which Amy grills 1 steak, the worst-case scenario will be if she grills a steak for 7 minutes.
So, if 1 steak = 7 minutes
4 steaks = 7 * 4 = 28 minutes
There will still be 2 extra minutes to add finishing touches. So, definitely, Amy can finish grilling all the steaks be needed for her party before her guests arrive. Therefore, both statements ARE SUFFICIENT. Hence, option C is the correct answer.
