GMAT Score:710

It's been 2.5 years

Hi,
I've given my GMAT in July, 2009 with a score of 710 (50,35) and a 5.5 AWA. Since then, I went into hibernation as far as my applications are concerned, as I wanted to gain more professional experience in my organization and gain more insights about nature and kind of people whom I work with. Now I've realized that I have gained sufficient experience work-wise, and would be ready with my applications for admission in 2013 (Hence, I am giving approximately more than a year to me before I start my MBA).

I'd like to know if giving GMAT so long ago would be a deterrent to my application. As I understand things, a GMAT score is valid for 5 years, and it's value remains the same for the duration.

Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul,

Your score is very well valid till 5 years. They won't have any negative impact whatsoever. This is good that you using this time wisely to build you application. Gmat plays an important role but it is not the only factor. All the best :)
