81 is the result of[9]*[6]

But the answer choices all have the [ ] which u have missed. If 81 is the result

then the answer needs to be [27]

27 is odd therefore 3m = 3*27 = 81 which is result we obtained

[] is just a reference in this particular Qn. It doesnt signify anything else but what is specified in the question.

i think, the answer should be 81, not 27. pls correct me if i m wrong.

sol:

if M is odd (ie M=9)
[M] = 3 * M
=>[9] = 3 * 9 = 27 // Result 1

if [M] is even (ie M=6)
[M] = 1/2 * M
=>[6] = 1/2 * 6 = 3 // Result 2

From Result 1 & 2
[9] * [6] = 27 * 3 = 81 // Final Result
