Issue with GMAT score

Hi Stacy,

I took GMAT yesterday and scored 690 (Q50, V34). A friend of mine took the exam today and scored exactly the same -- 690, but with Q50 and V32!! Though I have 2 marks more in Verbal, the overall score is just the same. I took some time to search the net and found out that normally people with Q50 and V34 get 700, sometimes even 710.
As far as I know, AdComs usually rely only upon total score. This has pushed me in a disadvantageous position as my overall score is lesser than other people who have same section-wise score (and believe me, I found a majority!!!). In addition to the obvious psychological difference, 700 will help me more in securing a comfortable position during admissions.

Should I complain to GMAC against this?? Will it be of any use??

Thanks.
